Well-deserved and right at the finish line with one day to go until the New England Patriots rematch seson opener against the Seattle Seahawks. After all of the hullabaloo, Gonzalez comes in right above Witherspoon and becomes he highest paid CB in the NFL. Curious if that was always the plan or the team was being cheap till the end. Oh well, they got it done and credit to them. Gonzalez is the first 1st-round pick by the Patriots since 2012s pick, Dont’a Hightower, to receive an extension by the team. That’s 13 years of picks, so let’s not exactly let them off the hook.
